Michele Rose-Sinclair Ilsley
10:17 am - May 29th, 2008 (due date!)
6lbs. 14 oz. - 21" long
Mom and baby are both healthy and happy! They reported 2 poopie diapers already and Tim seems to be doing a great job changing diapers :) In my personal opinion she's the perfect mix of Tim and Rachel... a perfect little button. Her voice is as soft as her hair, man you forget how soft baby hair can be!
We only got to spend 30 min with the new family and my camera battery died on me - so kicking myself!!!! But Tim and Rachel had a great camera they were shooting pictures and video's with so I'm sure we'll get to see those soon. Mom and Dad had a little video conference with the baby and will be down next weekend with Auntie Beth to see her in person :)
Meanwhile we're letting them rest up. They get out of the hospital tomorrow and we're going to see if we can take the kids over to meet Michele on Sunday.
A TV Anchor just lied! (fake gasp*)
Slouching here in my chair, the only seat that is above floor level in our almost entirely packed house, and I'm watching the news out of the corner of my eye... also listening to Rianne "teach" Marshall some out of key musical scale. His voice is actually much more in tune that hers... oh well. So I've been contemplating a lot of things lately, mostly gardening, canning and is it possible to own a milk producing goat in our new township?
So the nightly news/horror show comes on... blah blah blah pause, talking about gas and then he says "..looking at the many ways the high cost of gas is cutting into the lives of every citizen in this country right now..." Ok so he's not really making a statement, so it's not a real lie. BUT if you think about what it implies you could extrapolate a general statement - Everyone in the US is being effected by the gas prices. So you could say, if you allowed me to, that that's what he actually said.
Now that we've cleared that up, I'd like to know how exactly the gas prices are effecting the Amish? From what I understand they are pretty much self reliant. Sure they buy kerosene for their lamps and propane for stoves/fridges/freezers/lighting, but that's not gasoline. They have their horse and buggies and make/grow everything they need.
If that TV news anchor came on the air one night and said "how gas prices are effecting even the most self reliant population in the nation, tonight we're looking at the Amish and how they're coping" then I might actually pay attention. As far as I know the Amish even make their own fertilizer - I see them spread it all over their fields *pe-uw*!
Enough ranting for now - back to waiting for the baby to be born!!
space-time and what?

Ok! Finally updating my blog.... look I photoshop'ed my head into this picture from another one... why you're asking? cause the hair is fluffier and some how I think that makes up just a tiny bit for the odd angle and slumpy pose.
were all We've got a dozen more photo's... took a while to get one where welooking in the same direction with reasonably good facial expressions...well look...

See what I mean :D
So we're moving at the end of the month... good by sweet sweet Lancaster County! i will miss your outlets, your fabulous food and your cow manure smell.
More later on the mess of moving...
